Philippines and Oman Boost Relations, Address Security Issues in Region

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Philippine Foreign Secretary Maria Teresa Lázaro recently held talks on the sidelines of the third Oman-Philippines Forum. The discussions centered on expanding bilateral cooperation between the two nations, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, logistics, tourism, energy, and technology.

The forum was emphasized as a crucial platform to boost collaboration among governments, businesses, and academic institutions from both countries. Both ministers expressed optimism about the potential to enhance partnerships and underscored the importance of this gathering in fostering mutual growth and understanding.

Acknowledging the deepening ties, the ministers praised the significant role of the Filipino community in Oman. They highlighted how these individuals contribute to strengthening people-to-people connections, which is a cornerstone of the evolving relationship between the two countries.
