Maldivian President Welcomes Saudi Minister in Male for Official Talks

During an official visit to the Maldives, Saudi Minister of State Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz engaged in discussions with Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The visit coincided with the 61st anniversary celebrations of the Maldives’ independence, underscoring the robust bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.

Prince Mansour’s presence at the independence celebrations highlights the growing relationship between the two nations. His visit to the Maldives’ capital, Male, was marked by significant diplomatic engagements, emphasizing mutual interests and cooperation in various sectors.

Upon landing at Velana International Airport, Prince Mansour was received with a warm welcome. Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations Mohamed Naseer, and the Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, were among the dignitaries present to greet him.

The meeting between Prince Mansour and President Muizzu further cements the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, reflecting continued diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties. The Saudi minister’s participation in the Maldives’ independence anniversary events signifies the importance both countries place on their partnership.
